JARA

As part of their concept for the Excellence initiative, RWTH Aachen and the Forschungszentrum Jülich have forged a unique bond – the Jülich-Aachen Research Alliance (JARA). It fosters a close collaboration between the two institutions and serves the coordination of their strategic development. For example, several professors at the Physics Department are also institute directors at the Forschungszentrum Jülich.
