Condensed Matter Theory

Research in the condensed matter theory group focuses on strongly correlated electrons, unconventional superconductivity, quantum magnetism, nanoelectronics, quantum transport and mesoscopic systems. The employed methods include various analytical and numerical techniques such as renormalization group approaches, quantum Monte Carlo and ab-initio calculations. The research fields of laser physics and colloidal systems are also included in this research area.
