Particle Physics
Elementary particle physics studies the fundamental constituents of matter and their interactions. One focus of the experimental and theoretical research is the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. Moreover, there are groups testing fundamental symmetries, in particular via the measurement of the electric dipole moments and neutrino physics. Focus of theoretical elementary particle physics is the Standard Model and new physics.
