The purpose of the IMST 2009 is twofold: On the one hand it is a Memory Project Workshop, a forum to present ongoing European research on the different aspects of Mass-Storage Technologies in European Projects (FP6-FP7), bringing together the European research communities in this field. In conjunction with this Workshop, a series of Memory Technology Tutorials will be organized, providing fundamental understanding in the different technologies through a series of tutorial lectures by experts in the field. These tutorials are specifically targeting researchers and PhD students of the European research groups involved in mass storage technologies.

The conference will start on Tuesday (Sept. 8th) afternoon with tutorial lectures. In the evening there will be a workshop dinner (included in the conference fee). Wednesday (Sept. 9th) will be the main conference day containing both lectures and presentations.
