IQI Courses
The IQI will be providing courses on quantum information and related topics at the Master's level. All courses are taught in English. Each summer semester a basic course Quantum Information of 10 credit points (V4+U2) will be taught. For students who are interested in doing a master's thesis project in quantum information science, it is recommended to follow this course before starting on any project.
In the Winter Semester 2012 the following optional V2+U1 courses will be taught:
- Norbert Schuch: Analytical and Numerical Methods in Quantum Many-Body Theory from a Quantum Information Perspective.
- Fabian Hassler: Selected Topics in Mesoscopic Physics and Applications to Quantum Information.
- Kristel Michielsen: Quantum Optics and Foundations of Quantum Theory.
SS2012: Quantum Information (Terhal)
Quantum Information is a merger of two previously given courses Quantum Information I and Quantum Information II. It will cover both the theory of quantum information as well as physical realizations of quantum information. Detailed information on this course can be found here.
