

Aachen is a historic spa city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It was a favoured residence of Charlemagne, and the place of coronation of the medieval Kings of Germany. It is the westernmost city of Germany, located along its borders with Belgium and the Netherlands, 65 km west of Cologne. Aachen has a rich history and is famous for its hot springs, the impressive Aachen Cathedral and many other historical buildings. Aachen hosts the well-known RWTH Aachen university with an excellent reputation in and outside of Germany.
From Düsseldorf International Aiport (D): Daily coach connections with Airport Aixpress. Between 7am and 10pm, all 90 minutes a coach is leaving for Aachen. The travel time is approx. 60 Minutes. From Frankfurt International Aiport (D) :The most convenient way is to take a ICE train via Köln to Aachen. The travel time is approx. 3 hours. Please consult the online train table of Deutsche Bahn or ask your travel agent for reservations.

For students a limited number of guest rooms are available at the university campus at special rates. To apply for such guest rooms, please send an email inquiry to the Host Organisator Secretary.
