Delivery services
- Members of the Department of Physics can use a special service ("Fahrdienst") provided by the Central Library. Books and bounded journal volumes can be ordered from the stacks and will be delivered to the Physics Library.
When the search for monographs at the OPAC was successful a button "Bestellung" (order) is offered. To order a journal volume you have first to look up the call number at OPAC and the fill in a special mask for ordering.
To use this service a library card of the Central Library (valid identity card or passport and confirmation of registration with local authorities is asked) plus an additional registration for the service is needed. Application forms are available in the Physics Library.
- Members of the Department of Physics with a library card from the Central Library can order journal articles via electronic document delivery from the stacks of the Central Library. Go to OPAC main page and use the link "weitere Angebote - Aufsatzbestellsystem für RWTH-Personal".
- Also at OPAC main page you can find at "weitere Angebote" links to make electronical interlibrary loan requests.
- Another delivery service for articles and books with cost sharing is SUBITO. Delivery is short in time and the charges differentiate according to user groups and services.
